Judith Ellen Kershner

Judith E. Kershner, 84, passed away at 1:18 p.m. on April 22, 2024, at St. Rita's Medical Center. 

Judith was born on January 26, 1940, in Lima, Ohio, to Floyd and Eloise (Riley) Paxton. On February 7, 1959, she married Charles Kershner, who survives in Lima and they have been happily married for 65 years. 

Judith loved her husband, kids and grandchildren; they were her world. She also loved flowers, crafts, and being outside. Judith also enjoyed traveling to many different states and camping.

She is survived by her children, Jane (Steve) Mox, and Brian (Melanie) Kershner; grandchildren, Jessica (Blaize) Vogelsong and Cody (Alainna) Mox; great-grandchildren: Maycee, Callie, Mila, Makena, Xander, Eli, Lee and Lia; and siblings: Pam Parent of Florida, Sue McElroy of Lima and Tim Paxton of Oregon. 

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Pastor Ryan Cordell will officiate.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
