Karen Sue Hilleary

Karen Sue Hilleary, 81, passed away at 10:07 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Mayfair Village Nursing Care Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Karen was born on January 26, 1941 in Lima, Ohio, to Walter and Gladys (Sakemiller) Wortman.

Karen was the manager at the Cop Shop for 31 years and was also a police officer.

She is survived by her daughters, Nikki Hilleary of Powell, OH, Kendra (Bill) Mathwig of Dublin, OH; a son, Geary Hilleary of Van Wert, OH; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Wortman of Lima; and sister, Lesta Thomas of Perrysburg, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Julie Hilleary.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. on Monday, September 5, 2022 for a Celebration of Life at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.
