Kathleen J Point

Kathleen J. Point, 92, passed away at 6:27 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

Kathleen was born on November 24, 1928 in Lima, Ohio, to the late Robert and Treva (DeVere) Link.   On December 10, 1949 she married Howard Clayton Point who preceded her in death on January 22, 2009.

Kathleen was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and a graduate of Lima Central High.  She worked at City Loan & Savings for 35 years.  Kathleen liked to travel and eat out.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Nelda) Point of Cridersville; daughter, Cathy (Carlo) Selvaggio of Lima; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Beverly Macklin of Spencerville; and brother-in-law, Dale Point of Spencerville.  She is also survived by her companion, Dean Skelly, whom she loved traveling with for the last twelve years.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Point.

The family will receive friends from 6:00  – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 8 , 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.   The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 at St. Charles Catholic Church.  Father Kent Kaufman will officiate.  Burial will be at Spencerville Cemetery, Spencerville, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
