Kevin Cremeans, 66, passed away at 6:44 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at his residence surrounded by family.
Kevin was born on December 29, 1958, in Springfield, Ohio, to William and Donna (Smith) Cremeans. On December 23, 1993, he married Janice (Carter) Cremeans, who survives in Lima.
Kevin loved to go deer hunting with his dad in southern Ohio before his dad passed, he continued to hunt afterwards. He was also a gospel singer and loved to sing to glorify Jesus. Kevin could fix anything and also made knives. He even fixed up a 67’ International Harvester truck. He loved his family and the Lord. He attended Lighthouse Baptist Church. Prior to coming to Lima, Kevin lived in Washington Courthouse area for about 15 years. He was a member of the Soul Purpose Gospel Group. Kevin retired in July from Sugarcreek Packaging in Washington Courthouse, and never got to fully enjoy his earthly retirement, after getting cancer. He is now enjoying his retirement and rewards with his Savior in Heaven.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Amanda (Beau) Payne, Rachel (Troy) Ohls, Jason (Harriet) Carter, Lori (Tara) Holmes, and Terry Holmes; also his two grandsons Jacob and Josh who he helped raise for a total of 6 grandchildren; 5 great- grandchildren; and a sister, Teresa (Joe) Sisler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Randy Cremeans.
The family will receive friends at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Paige officiating with inurnment of ashes at Woodlawn Cemetery at a later a date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church.
