LaDonna Watson, born September 18, 1977, in Lima, Ohio – died August 30, 2026, in Canal Winchester, Ohio.
With profound sadness and hearts filled with love, we celebrate the life and precious memories of LaDonna Howard Watson. LaDonna was a beloved wife, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose presence brought love and lasting memories to the lives of those around her.
LaDonna shared her life with her loving husband, Raven Watson of Toledo, Ohio. Above all, family held a special place in LaDonna’s heart. She was a devoted mother to her children, Ny-Jaah’ah Rowe-Phillips, Ny’Keice Doughty, Ny’Jerri Doughty, and Prince “Big Dog” Watson, and a loving grandmother to Na’Kari, Kei’Nylah, Ny’Quan, and Ny’Raya.
LaDonna leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Hilda (Kim) Lipkins; her maternal grandmother, Mary (Willie) Purnell; and siblings: Roseanna (Demetrus) Wright of Florida, Charles (Shavone) Rowe of Georgia, Shirlisa (Albert) Hodge of Florida, Ashley D. Williams of Ohio, Shalena Coats of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Alisha Woodley of Georgia, Trent Williams of Ohio, Johnathon Paris, and Tywona Bevis. LaDonna also leaves to cherish her memory, her special friend, Kimberly Ramey, whose friendship held a special place in her life. Through her husband Raven, LaDonna was also surrounded by the love of the Watson family, including Mattie Watson and Clorissa Watson. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
LaDonna was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Williams II; daughter, Ny’Ke Lejaah Rowe; brothers, Jerry Jay Rowe and Lamont Jones; maternal grandfathers, Roy Thomas Rowe Sr. and Buddy Armstead Dunbar; paternal grandparents: Jerry Williams Sr., Annie Laura Smith, Thomas Terry, and Easter Williams; and grandmother-in-law, Lee Salters.
The wake will be on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 4 - 8 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. Family will be present from 6 - 8 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Grace Church Worldwide Ministries, Lima.
Although LaDonna is no longer here with us physically, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the impact she made on her family, will continue to live on through each person who loved her. Her memory will forever remain a treasured part of her family’s hearts.
