LARRY D. CROW, 61, died at 2:20 a.m. December 15, 2004, at his residence. He was born December 28, 1942, in Lima, Ohio, to Walter and Alma Reier Crow who preceded him in death. On May 15, 1965, he married Nancy Gerdeman, and she survives. Mr. Crow was employed at Procter & Gamble in Lima, Ohio, and prior to that had worked at Clark Equipment. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, where he was an usher. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a 30-year Red Cross blood donor who had donated 17 gallons of blood. He attended Lima Central Catholic, and served his country in the Marine Corps during the Cuban conflict from August 31, 1960, to August 28, 1964. He was a wonderful family man and a master builder. He loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing and camping. Survivors also include three sons, Larry (Kay) Crow and Thomas (Dawn) Crow, both of Lima, Ohio, and William (Christina) Crow of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; two daughters, Laura (Charles) Art and Sara (Michael) Bowsher, both of Lima, Ohio; two brothers, Charles (Peg) Crow and Kenneth (Shelba) Crow, both of Lima, Ohio; two sisters, Louella (John) Root and Carolyn (Mark) Butorac, both of Lima, Ohio; and grandchildren Chelsie Crow, Kayla Crow, Casey Crow, Jessica Art, Amanda Art, Elizabeth Art, Alix Peck, Jacob Crow, Cody Simpson, Emily Hollar, Matthew Crow, Morgan Crow, Adrian Bowsher, and Aaron Bowsher, all of Lima, Ohio. He was preceded in death by an infant son; an infant daughter; and a brother, Richard Crow. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose Catholic Church. The Rev. William J. Rose will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will begin at 4 p.m. today.
