Linda "Suzie" Schirmer

Linda “Suzie” (Harter) Schirmer, 75, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Lochhaven Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family, to join her husband of 25 years, Joseph “Joey” Schirmer, who passed away the same day in 2010.

Suzie was born on February 7, 1951, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Donald Joseph and Mailyn Jean (Hogue) Harter.

Suzie graduated from Lima Central High School in 1969 and Carousel Beauty College in 1971, where she taught night school. She worked as a hairdresser for 30 years at Regis American Mall and Lady Dye’s Salon. She retired to care for her grandchildren and later Joey in Florida. She enjoyed antiques, thrifting, garage sales, beaches, gardening, sharks, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Steven Roznowski; daughter, Jennie (Matt) Schimpf; grandchildren, Gavin and Jaide Schimpf; brother, Brad (Deb) Harter; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Schirmer.

A Rosary Prayer Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. with visitation from 1 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Father Kent Kaufman will officiate. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.

The family requests people come dressed comfortably in Jaws, Sharks, Beach theme, or Bigfoot clothing if you have it.
