Louetta McCobb

Louetta J. McCobb, 85, passed away at 11:30 a.m. surrounded by her family on October 4, 2022, at Mercy Health St. Ritas Medical Center.

Louetta was born on April 25, 1937 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hyde, and was then adopted by Mr. and Mrs. James H. Pope. On May 11, 1957 she married Richard McCobb who survives in Lima.

Louetta was a devoted wife and mother. She worked at JCPenny for 20 years, and also worked at Hallmark and Kmart. Louetta also helped with Awana at church. She also enjoyed homemaking, shopping, word search puzzles and her outdoor flowers.

She is survived by three daughters, Marie (Tripp) Tyner, Karen Tallman, and Cheryl (Kevin) Carr; one son, Paul (Debby) McCobb; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; best friend Mary Frances Gaughan.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022 at North Park Community Church, Lima, Ohio.  A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.  Pastor Jim Baker will officiate.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation or North Park Community Church.
