Louis Hickey

LOUIS P. HICKEY, 71, died at 5:20 a.m. March 31, 2005, at his residence. He was born September 27, 1933, in Delphos, Ohio to Cyril and Elizabeth Berres Hickey, who preceded him in death. On October 10, 1964, he married Mary L.A. Fisher, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Hickey had been an inspector for Marathon Electric. He was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370. Survivors also include three sons, Paul J. (Heather) Hickey of Loveland, David J. (Debra) Hickey of Greentown, Indiana, and Daniel P. (Stephanie) Hickey of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; a daughter, Jennifer (Kyle) Sadler of Delaware, Ohio; two brothers, Harold (Patti) Hickey of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Carl (Judy) Hickey of Urbana; a sister, Ruth (William) Gorman of Bellevue, Florida; and seven grandchildren, Courtney Hickey, Emilyann Hickey, Laura Hickey, Erin Hickey, Hailey Sadler, Kierstin Sadler and Andrew Hickey. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Hickey and James Hickey; a sister, Frances Hickey; and a grandson, Jaden M. Sadler. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Lacey will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday.
