Lucille Minami

January 12, 1922 — February 13, 2005

LUCILLE MINAMI, 83, died at 4:55 a.m. February 13, 2005, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, Ohio. She was born January 12, 1922, in Lima to Harry E. and Effie Bechtel McConehey, who preceded her in death. On July 17, 1944, she married Frank Minami, who died December 15, 1998. Mrs. Minami was a homemaker. She was a member of First Evangelical and Reformed Church. She was an avid reader. She was a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include a daughter, Pam (Gary) Chaffins of Lima; two grandchildren, Melissa (Jeremy) Chaffins-Hounshell and Brad Chaffins, both of Lima; two great-grandchildren, Natalie Chaffins and Evelyn Mae Hounshell; a brother-in-law, Leonard Thompson; two nieces, Lori Johnson and Sue Musto; and a nephew, Barry Flack. She was preceded in death by a two sisters, Jean Thompson and Ruth (Harry) Flack. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. David Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
