Mary Nusbaum

MARY HELEN KEMPF NUSBAUM, 79, died at 4:45 a.m. April 22, 2004, at Springview Manor Nursing Home, with her family at her side. She was born January 8, 1925, in Lima, Ohio to George T. and Laura Hilty Kempf, who preceded her in death. On September 12, 1948, in Lima, Ohio, she married Ralph W. Nusbaum, who survives in Elida, Ohio. Mrs. Nusbaum was a life member of First Evangelical and Reformed Church, where she was a member of Women's Guild and the Ladies Aid Society. She was a volunteer at the YWCA for many years. She also had worked at Springbrook Swimming Club. Survivors also include three sons, Ted (Carol) Nusbaum, Mark (Krista) Nusbaum and Bob (Jamy) Nusbaum, all of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Doris Welker of Lima, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Amy Nusbaum, Carlyn (Ryan) Howard, Scott Nusbaum, Shalyn (Shawn) Dotson, Christian Nusbaum, Josh Howard, Nicole Howard and Kendra Howard; three great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Helen Kempf Vonalmen. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kempf. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. David Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
