Nile Sawmiller

Lima NILE E. SAWMILLER, 82, died at 11:09 a.m. Feb. 24, 2005, at Lima Memorial Health System. He was born Dec. 6, 1922, in Needmore, Ohio to Dorey E. and Hazel M. Stemen Sawmiller, who preceded him in death. Mr. Sawmiller retired from H. Brown Co., after more than 20 years as a mechine builder. He attended Living Faith Temple. He attended Elida High School and Fort Wayne Bible School, Fort Wayne, Ind. Survivors include five children, Janet R. Sawmiller of Cridersville, Craig Sawmiller of Marian, Ind., Dane (Debbie)Sawmiller and Glen (Sue) Sawmiller, both of Lima, and Lorraine (Jerry) Bunch of Pandora; two brothers, Gale (Betty) Sawmiller and Kent (Janet) Sawmiller, both of Lima; two sisters, Ruth Stinebuck of Elida and Irene I. Sunderland of Spencerville; and 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Richard and infant Roger Sawmiller; and an infant sister, Mildred Sawmiller. Services will begin at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Shane Crites will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
