Patricia Burr

Patricia Burr, 81, passed away on August 17, 2026, in Springfield, Ohio.

Patricia was born on December 23, 1944, in Lima, Ohio, to Chester Ross and Evelyn Carter. On December 24, 1963, she married David “Buckey” Burr, who preceded her in death on June 24, 1998.

Patricia worked at Rinks department store before she eventually went on to the United States Postal service where she retired from after many years of service. She loved bowling and going on cruises. Her and her best friend would go on one a year. Patricia also enjoyed trying her luck at the casino, and being in euchre club with her friends for 50 + years.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lori Burr; sister, Brenda Kreher; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Bruce Burr; brothers, Phillip Carter and Les Carter.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Lori Wright Officiating. Burial will follow at Shawnee Cemetery, Shawnee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
