Patricia Anne Cain, 89, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Kindred Hospital in Lima.
Patricia was born on February 20, 1937, in Latty, Ohio, to William and Jeanetta (Day) Turner. On March 16, 1963, she married Ronald E. Cain in Lima, who preceded her in death on July 16, 2018.
Patricia was raised in a close-knit family. A lifelong member of Lima Central Catholic Parish, she retired from the BP Refinery Plant, leaving with many close relationships. She loved the arts, theater, jazz concerts, and nice restaurants. She caught the travel bug after retirement and spent many years traveling the world with friends and family. An amazing chef, she loved entertaining guests at her home and cooking food for family gatherings. She lived in good health and capacity, driving to visit family and friends in Chicago, Fort Wayne, and the Defiance areas. Never shying away from a debate on current events, she was also an avid reader of her favorite genre, political thrillers and spy novels. She enjoyed zesty conversations and quiet time with family. She was kind and generous to everyone.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Cain of Toledo, OH; daughter, Leslie Cain-Teague and son-in law Norman Teague of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Jason Cain (wife Jessica), Nicholas D. Cain, and Jennifer Byram of Toledo; six great grandchildren; brother, Richard J. Turner of Lima; and extended family and close friends, William & Norma Johnson of Lima.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jason Cain; daughter-in-law, Barbara Cain; brothers, Carlos Turner and Joseph Turner; and sister, Rae Spinks.
The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dennis Ward will officiate.
