Penny Sue Krouse

Penny Sue (VanWagner) Krouse, 63, of Lima, passed away Friday September 11, 2026 at OSU James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute.

Penny was born June 6th, 1963, in Lima. Her adopting parents, Joseph and Peggy VanWagner, of Lima, preceded her in death.

Penny is survived by her adopted brothers, Jerry VanWagner of Huff, ND and Joe VanWagner of Seminole, FL, her (related) daughter, Charlene King of Bellefontaine, OH, and her ex-husband and forever friend, Bo Krouse of Lakeview, Oh.

Penny graduated from the class of 1981, Elida High School. She lived in ND, CO, AZ, WA, and AK before settling down back in Lima. Penny dedicated 27 years of service to WOCAP, beginning her career in 1999. The majority of her time she served as the HEAP program coordinator, where she made a lasting impact on countless clients, coworkers, and community members through her commitment, compassion and dedication
