Philip Eugene Staup

Philip Eugene Staup, 81, passed away at 11:28 pm on February 13, 2024, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. 

Philip was born on June 13, 1942, in Lima, to the late Lawrence & Wilma Eileen (Carper) Staup.  

Philip graduated from Elida High School in 1961. He retired from Lima Memorial Health System after 39 years as a receiving clerk. Philip was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. 

Along with his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his brother Marion “Ben” Benton Staup.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m.  Lay-Minister Dave Belton will officiate.  Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice.
