Phyllis Borger

Phyllis J. Borger, 82 of Lima, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Vancrest in Delphos. She was born on June 20, 1942 in Lima to the late Harold and Pauline {Wagner} Coil.

On October 4, 1958 she married Rodney D. Borger Sr., who preceded her in death in 1998. She worked in housekeeping at St. Rita’s Medical Center for many years. She enjoyed cooking, going to garage sales, spending time with her grandchildren, and hanging out by the swimming pool.

She is survived by her children: Cindy (Bill) Fruchey, Sharma (Ron) Phillips, Rodney D. “Sam” (Theresa) Borger Jr., and Chris (Dannie) Borger, son-in-law: Bart Ralston, brother: Phil Coil, grandchildren: Travis, Heather, Justin, Tiffany, Kristy, Amanda, Taylor, Rodney III, Ryan, Rylee, Brittney, and Brandon, and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Candy Ralston, and brother: Harold Coil.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the funeral home. James Lyle will officiate. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Lima.
