Phyllis Livingston

Phyllis M. Livingston, 87, went to be with the Lord at 7:40 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026.

Phyllis was born on May 8, 1938, in Perrysburg, Ohio, to Burton and Helen (Brocka) Ames, who proceeded her in death. In 1955 she married Robert E. Neidert. In 1987 she married Clearance Livingston III, who proceeded her in death.

Phyllis retired in 2005 from American Trim, where she had worked for more than 30 years as the receptionist. She also worked with the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts. Phyllis was a volunteer at Lima Memorial Health Systems and a member of Westgate Neighborhood Association. She had a deep faith in God. She enjoyed her pets, reading and her beautiful flower gardens. She was a hard worker and a very loving person with a big heart for people and especially for animals.

She is survived by her children, Debra (Mark) Kline and Laura (Paul) Basinger; seven grandchildren, Mark (Michelle) Kline, Brooke (Damian) Tibbs, Lindsay (Matthew) Woodruff, Landon (Gabby) Pheneger, Justin (Morgan)Basinger, Callie (Dylan) Eberle, and Brooke (Shannon) Hastings; and many great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Neidert Jr.; grandchild, Andrew Kline; and sisters, Betty (Harold) Pfister and Carol (John) King.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. Pastor Damian Tibbs will officiate. Burial will follow at Carmen Cemetery, Gomer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deb’s Dogs.
