Ralph Edward Albright

Ralph Edward Albright, 83 of Lima, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Wyngate Senior Living. 

He was born on December 15, 1940, in Lima to the late Martin and Margaret {Watkins} Albright.  On February 27, 1960, he married Judith “Judy” Wendel. She survives in Lima. 

Ralph graduated from Lima Senior High School in 1958. He then received an engineering tech license from The Ohio State Lima Branch. He was an engineer for the City of Lima for 34 years and worked as a surveyor at Kohli & Kaliher for 8 years. He was a member of the Lima Power Squadron for over 50 years, where he was commander. He was also a member of the ARC of Allen County for over 40 years and was on their board. He loved fishing and boating at Lake Erie. Ralph was a handyman, having built 2 houses, and was able to fix anything. He enjoyed spending time with his feline friends.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Vicky Albright-McNally; son, Edward Albright; and brother-in-law, L. Joseph Wendel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters-in-law, Janie Lamping and Joyce Catlett; and brothers-in-law, John Lamping and Dave Catlett.

His family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at the funeral home. Chaplain Glory Geib will officiate.  Friends may visit one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
