Raymond Morton

Raymond Morton, 64, passed away at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at his home.

Raymond was born on July 14, 1961, in Lima, Ohio to Fred Wilks and Edna Ruth (White) Morton. On May 27, 1990, he married Abigail “Abby” (Tull) Morton, who survives in Lima.

Raymond served for a time in the U.S. Army. His passions were music, videos, and playing video games with his grandkids. He played the keyboard and sang gospel music with his sister in his home studio. He also liked reading and talking politics.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Raymond Morton Jr. of Florida, Descente Washington of Georgia, Michael Tull, Raymond (Jaivonna) Morton, Tiffany (Terrance) Jackson, Ryan Morton and Kiyon Morton all of Lima; many loved grandchildren; a sister, Teresa Morton of Lima; and a brother Mansfield (Shirley) Key Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
