Rebecca Murphy

Rebecca "Becky" Murphy, 63, passed away at 9:33 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at her home in Lima.  Becky was born on November 14, 1959, in Lima, Ohio, to Alfred Thomas Jr. and Marie (Cira) Murphy.

Becky had a great sense of humor.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and visiting her mother.  She also loved her dog, Tipsy.

She is survived by her son, Ian (Danielle) Sheeter of Lima; grandchildren: Nevaeh, Ava and Ivy; sister, Kathy (Rick) Brisson; and brother-in-law, Robert Polser; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Murphy; brother, Terrence Murphy; and sisters, Kelleen Polser and Debra Murphy.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m.  Father Mike Sergi will officiate.  Burial will follow at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
