Richard Lones,

RICHARD A. "DICK" LONES Sr., 59, died at 10 a.m. April 2, 2005, at his residence. He was born July 21, 1945, in Lima, Ohio to Donovan A. and Dorothy Truesdale Lones, who preceded him in death. On July 6, 1999, he married Janie Shreve, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Lones worked in construction for 35 years for the Laborers' union, where he also served as an assistant administrator for three years. He operated the Modern, the LeGrande and Shamrock bars for six years. He received an award from the Fraternal Order of Police for bravery and courage above and beyond the call of duty. Survivors also include three sons, Richard A. (Marie) Lones Jr. of Morristown, Tennesse, Gregory M. Lones of Crescent Springs, Kentucky, and Damian P. Gleason of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Marilyn (Dick) Stemen of Clara, Alabama; two brothers, Robert Lones and Donovan Lones of Toledo, Ohio; a brother-in-law, James Shreve of Lima, Ohio; three grandchildren; and his stepmother-in-law, June Bern of Lima, Ohio. There will be no services. Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
