Robert Mullen

ROBERT J. MULLEN, 73, died the morning of January 29, 2005, at his residence. He was born January 16, 1932, in Lima, Ohio to Charles and Margaret Dyke Mullen, who preceded him in death. On February 10, 1956, he married Eileen D. Mullen, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Mullen retired from Dana Corp., where he worked for 23 years in the Heat Treat Department. He graduated from St. Rose High School in 1950. He was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and a member of Springbrook Golf Club, where he was also a starter for several golf leagues. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 370 and a social member of the VFW. He served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He was very supportive of his grandchildren and attended their sporting events. Survivors also include a son, John David (Raeann) Mullen of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a daughter, Loraine Renee (Mark) Carey of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Kathryn Klaus of Spencerville, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Trenton Levi Carey of Lima, Ohio, and Patrick John Mullen, Anthony David Mullen and Raechel Elizabeth Mullen, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. Father George Blasick will officiate. Burial will be in Allentown Cemetery, Allentown.
