Robert John Schomer, 92, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Lima Convalescent Home.
Robert was born on May 4, 1933, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to the late George A. Schomer and Ann (Higgins) Schomer.
Bob and his loving wife Lyn met during their service in the Navy as medical corpsman and married on September 4, 1954. They had 62 wonderful years together. Bob worked as an Industrial Salesman for Bostwick Braun Company in Toledo, Ohio.
He is survived by his children: Marianne (Bob) Betts, Kathleen Schomer, Bob (Lee) Schomer, Debra Schomer, John (Liz) Schomer, and Julianne Schomer; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother, George Schomer.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lyn (Sullivan) Schomer; daughter, Sandra Jean Schomer; grandson, Christopher Betts; and sisters: Ursula (Schomer) Hoffman, Audrey Schomer, and Ann (Schomer) Comes.
Private family services will be held.
