Romelo Blackman, 28, passed away on April 22, 2023. Romelo was born on November 18, 1994, in Lima, Ohio, to Steve Allen Jr and LaKendra Blackman.
Romelo owned Mellows Enterprise, Madbear Clothing and “M.D.B.” Most Demanded Boys. He was a Co-CEO of Pure Sound Entertainment.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his stepfather, Willie Banks Sr.; stepmother, Marisa Allen; siblings: Allen Stubelfield “Tac”, Markel Banks, Willie Banks Jr., Markiesha Blackman, Ke-Ava Robinson Banks, Steven Allen III, Phillip Allen, James Allen, Shaneka (Ben) Allen, Tearrik (Gracan) Allen, Rauneka Harrison, Letiashia, Dontez Smith, Whitney Willis, Miranda Reed, Dionte (India) Kimble, Joci Hamilton, and Tyler Wright; Maternal Grandma, Barbara J. Burton; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Allen and Alicia Buchanan; uncle, Mark Blackman Burton and aunt, “Koko” Blackman; several aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Maurice Robinson. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Harvey Burton III.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, May 5 2023 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Grace Church Worldwide Ministries, Lima, Ohio. Rev. Ronald Fails will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
