Rudolph H. Arn, 91, passed away at 9:00 p.m. on April 28, 2024.

Rudolph was born on August 24, 1932, in Cloverdale, Ohio, to William Henry and Erma (Britsch) Arn.  On August 17, 1960, he married Betty (Kohlhorst) Arn, who survives in Lima.

Rudolph was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School and worked for Norfolk and Western (Southern) Railroad. He attended Lima Baptist Temple and studied the Bible faithfully. He enlisted in the army and was deployed to various countries in his service time. He enjoyed building homes with his children and tackling the many tasks of construction. He enjoyed basketball, attending sports activities for his kids and grandkids. Rudy had the best hook shot in Bath Township! He served as Bath School PTA president and supported the school system with many projects. He was an avid polka dancer and young dancers followed him around the dance floor in a human train. He appeared on Bowling Green TV with his unique polka dance style to songs from the Al Best Band. Rudy had a great sense of humor and his submission for the newspaper comic strip Plugger was selected for national syndication. Rudy enjoyed shooting at the many trap clubs in the tri-county area.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Phillip Arn, Wade (Cindy) Arn, and Victoria Arnatelli; grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley) Arn, Brittany (Matt) Taylor, and Courtney (Scott) Schnipke; several great-grandchildren; and a brother Paul Selhorst. He will be missed by all, including his constant companion, Puffy the Westie.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth (Nick) Giovinnazo; Jessica Arn, Mildred (Bernard) Fish, and Emma (Leon) Kiser.
