Ruth Anne Closson

Ruth Anne Closson, 78, passed away at 10:10 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Wyngate Senior Living Center in Lima. 

Ruth was born on August 16, 1945, in Lima, Ohio to the late Fred and Frances (Mechling) Riemesch.  On April 7, 1979, she married Richard H. Closson Jr., who preceded her in death on October 19, 2011.

Ruth enjoyed flowers, the outdoors, and relaxing in her Sunroom.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Andrew (Merry) Closson of Mason, OH and Jordan Closson of Van Wert, OH; grandchildren: Devanne (Matt) Davis, Peyton Closson of Van Wert, OH, Sophia Closson, Katherine Closson, Bethany Closson of Mason, OH, Samuel Griner, and Luke Griner Of North Webster, IN; great-grandchild, Krew Davis of VanWert, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Robert Riemesch, David Riemesch, and Willis “Bill” Riemesch; and sister, Dianna Eiche.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024, with viewing one hour prior to service from 10 – 11 a.m.  Chaplain Glory Geib will officiate.  Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
