Lima, Ohio

Scott Joseph Kill, 61, passed away on June 23, 2023, after a heroic four year battle with cancer at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK.

Scott was born on October 17, 1961, in Lima, Ohio, to Donald and Velma (Hempfling) Kill. On September 22, 1992 he married Elizabeth Ann “Lisa” (McDow) Kill who preceded him in death.

Scott was a 1980 graduate of Delphos St. Johns High School and went on to Northwestern Business College (UNOH) where he received his Associates Degree in Marketing. Scott started his Hobby Lobby career in 2003 as a store co-manager and over the course of 20 years, worked diligently to become a Vice President of Store Operations. He considered Hobby Lobby the culmination of his career. From 1984-1990, Scott was in the Navy as a Radioman First Class in the submarine service, where he acquired a special talent of learning morse code. He loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, classic cars, golfing, watching and playing baseball, and traveling the world. He enjoyed good food, classic rock, attending concerts, and visiting history museums. He loved being with family, napping, and making people laugh. He was a friend to everyone, had a calm presence, and was very wise.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his children, Jeremy (Rachel) Glasco of Kansas City, KS, and Emily Kill of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Antonio Terry, Sadie, Trinity and Keira “Andy” Glasco-White, and Rylee, Rudy, Raime, Robin, and Pamela Glasco; great-grandchildren, Colt and Forrest; siblings, Barbara Kill of San Antonio, TX, Dean Kill of Monroe, NC, Pamela Bianchi of Brunswick, OH, Douglas (Sharon) Kill of Wapakoneta, OH, Randy (Karen) Kill of Hebron, OH, and Andrew (Tisha) Kill of Gomer, OH; sisters-in-law, Brenda Skaggs of Oklahoma City, OK, and Belinda Frost of Norman, OK; and numerous friends and loved ones.

Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Harrison Kill; a daughter, Jaime Wood; step-mother, Alice Propst-Kill; a nephew, Bryan “Augie” Frost; and a brother-in-law, Gary Frost.
