Sharon Vandemark

Sharon Vandemark, 86, passed away on June 30, 2026, at home surrounded by love.

Sharon was born on March 9, 1940, in Buckland, Ohio, to the late Raymond and Thelma (Martin) Helmlinger. On April 14, 1979, she married Carl M. Vandemark, who preceded her in death on March 13, 2026.

Through the years, Sharon experienced a multitude of careers after graduating from Shawnee High School and Bible College, including realtor, EMT, small business owner, and landlord of multiple rental properties, to name a few. Sharon enjoyed spending her time with friends and family. You could find her on the golf course, the bowling alley for league night, playing cards, or laughing around the table at the Eagles.

She is survived by her siblings, Carolyn Berry, Mary and Ed Fisher, Dale Sutton; sister-in-law, Janet Helmlinger; many nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and many great-great-nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Vandemark; siblings, Art “Gene” Helmlinger, Charles “Chuck” and Glenna Sutton, Penny and Joe Ward, Jim and Jeanne Sutton, Mike and Linda Sutton; and a sister-in-law Sue Sutton.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Private family entombment will be later at Memorial Park.
