Stanton Lee Karcher, 74, passed away from pancreatic cancer, on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at his home.
Stanton was born on January 1, 1952, in Lima, Ohio, to David & Imogene (Pratt) Karcher. On April 27, 1974, he married Deborah Kathleen Roby, who survives in Elida.
Stanton enjoyed woodworking and sold the items he crafted on Etsy. He also liked to buy and sell antiques, and listening to music, especially the Beatles. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, OSU football, and the Cincinnati Reds.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Ann (Mark) Havericak; sister, Mona Karcher; brother-in-law, Bradley Selover; nephews, Blake (Rebecca Dingus) Selover, and Troy (Heather) Selover; and great-nephews and great-niece, Roy, Luke, and Anna.
He was preceded in death by his parents; half-brothers, David Karcher and Robert Karcher; parents-in-law, Roy & Sara Roby; and sister-in-law, Kim Selover.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio, with the service at 4 p.m. Rev. Ted Bible will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice.
