Stephen Lee White

Stephen L. White, 72, passed away on December 12, 2023, at his residence.

Stephen was born on December 23, 1950, in Lima, Ohio to Charles Lon and Nellrose (Young) White. On September 23, 1972, he married “his beautiful bride” Susan (Kissling) White who survives in Lima.

Stephen worked as a custodian, maintenance man and a bus driver for Bath Local Schools for 35 years, where everyone affectionately called him “Mr. Steve”. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved attending all of their activities and eagerly shared stories about them. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing and was the family handyman who could take care of anything. He served as a board member for the Good Shephard Home in Fostoria. He was a member of Pleasant View Church of the Brethren.

Along with his wife Susan, he is survived by his children, Jodi (Paul) Parthemore, Jamie (Jim) Marsteller, and Cason (Stacy) White; grandchildren, Paul, Jacob, Stephen, Mallory, & Heidi Parthemore, Shelby, Greyson, & Drew Marsteller, and Beckett White; brothers, Tom (Carolyn) White, and Dave (Dora) White.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Bob (Marie) White and Jim (Shirley) White.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, with visitation one hour prior to service.  Pastor James Washington will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View Church of the Brethren or Bath Schools Angel Fund.
