Sue Torbet

SUE E. TORBET, 72, died at 7:20 p.m. November 10, 2004, at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born July 24, 1932, in Lima to Russell C. Tiemeyer and Marcella Lindeman Tiemeyer Weikert, who preceded her in death. On December 26, 1954, she married Tom Torbet, who survives in Lima. Ohio. Mrs. Torbet retired in 2001, as a secretary for Lima schools, working at Roosevelt and Horace Mann schools, for 25 years. She was a member of New Creation Lutheran Church. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 Auxiliary. She had been a member of the Lost Creek Country Club. She loved gardening, playing cards, reading and her grandchildren. Survivors also include two sons, Russ (Chris) Torbet of Landeck, Ohio and Mark (Lisa) Torbet of Elida, Ohio; a daughter, Tammy (Jeff) Passa of Gahanna, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Andrea Torbet, Renee Torbet, Mark Smith, Jayne Passa and Elizabeth Passa. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Glen Weikert. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Samuel Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
