Susanne John

Susanne “Sue” (Fisher) John, 80, passed away on July 11, 2023, at Shawnee Manor.

Susanne was born November 25, 1942, in Cairo, Ohio. She was the daughter of Louis and Treva (Burden) Vickery who preceded her in death. On August 5, 1992, she marrid Gene John who preceded her in death in 2010. She was previously married to Chet Fisher, the father of her children.

Sue worked at several jobs of which they all left her by closing. She worked at United Telephone Co., Davidson Enamel, Pangles Main Office, Excello (Textron)for 20 years, Milcor and then retired from Superior Credit Union in 2012. After being retired for two and a half years, she went to work part-time at Lima Eagles Lodge, which she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.  She really loved her job there. She retired in 2023. She loved to dance, play euchre, play slot machines and read a good book. She also attended The Bridge Church.

She is survived by her three children, Chet (Brenda) Fisher of Knoxville, TN., Valarie Morgan (Frank Tricamo) of Littleton, CO., and Craig (Belinda) Fisher of Cridersville, OH.; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; also, her husband Gene’s loving family; and many nieces and nephews; and family of her companion of eleven years, Ed Swint, who passed away in September of 2021.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, Roy Dodds, Jack Dodds, Timmy Vickery, Howard Vickery, Ted Vickery, and Louis Vickery Jr.: and a sister Sharon (Dodds) Prater.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m.   to 4 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.   Pastor Randy Davis will officiate.  Burial of ashes will be at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donor’s Choice.
