Thelma Lee Beale

Thelma Lee Beale, 88, passed away at 2:50 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.

Thelma was born on June 22, 1937, in Ottawa, Ohio, to the late John S. Metcalf and Mary S. (Riddle) Metcalf. On August 20, 1972, she married Clark Eugene Beale who survives in Lima.

Thelma worked in the maintenance department of the Montgomery Ward store in Lima. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars #1275 – Auxiliary, Moose Lodge #199, Eagles #370, American Legion Post #96 – Auxiliary, and the Orioles.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Delores (Rick) Ogden of Marysville, Ohio and Kathy Clapper of Florida; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Beale.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Barbara Ann (Bill) Spicer, Maxine Harner, and Deborah (Mike) Watson; sons, Harlin Orsborne and Kenneth (Diane) Harner; son-in-law, Reeny Clapper; grandson, Travis Tracy; sisters: Ada DeSoto, Lilly Mae Penny, Barbara (Jack) Wisner, Susan (Dean) Sholler; and brothers, William Metcalf and Earl Metcalf.

A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Roundhead Cemetery in Roundhead, Ohio. Pastor David Schneer will officiate. .

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
