Vernon Timothy Grigsby

Vernon Timothy Grigsby, 79, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

He was born on July 27, 1946, in Prestonsburg, KY, to Rosco Grigsby & Betty Hipsher.

Vernon graduated from Bath High School and then served in the U.S. Army. He was a crane operator for the IUOE Local 18 – Toledo. He was a life member of the VFW – Will Funeral Rite, life-member of AMVETS, and a member of the American Legion. Vernon enjoyed fishing, socializing, and hunting.

He is survived by his three daughters: Tonya (David) Bradford, Natosha De Dominicis, and Shasta Grigsby; grandchildren: Christopher, Landon, and Tyshon E. Davis; sister, Charlene Roeder.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Glenda Conn; and grandson, Tyler.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the funeral home, with visitation two hours (9-11 a.m.) prior to service. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VA Pantry, Lima.
