Charlotte Jean Prater

Charlotte Jean Prater, age 91, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022.

Charlotte was born on November 20, 1930 in Floyd County, Kentucky, to the late Amos and Lee (Wright) Prater.  She graduated from McGuffey High School and worked for many years at Ex-cello.  She was co-owner of Grand Kitchen and owned many rental properties in the Lima area. Charlotte enjoyed raising vegetables and flowers.

She is survived by special friend, Delores “Dee” Copeland and sister-in-law Nancy Prater.  She is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was preceded in death by three brothers:  Herbert Prater, Russell Prater, and Garry Prater; and two sisters: Bethel Collins and Nella Messick.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Justin Musto officiating. Burial will be at Preston Cemetery in Alger, Ohio.
