Clyde Edwin Neinas

Clyde Edwin Neinas, 85, passed away at 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at his residence.

Clyde was born on September 13, 1937 in Bellevue, Ohio, to Edwin and Gertrude (Billiard) Neinas.  On June 9, 1984 he married Martha B. (Long) Neinas, who survives in Elida.

Clyde was a graduate of Thompson High School in Bellevue, Ohio. He served 8 years in the Army Reserves. Clyde was retired from the US Postal Service after 30 years of service and later came to work for the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home for the next 23 years.  He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lima Lodge 205 F & AM, formerly Garrett Wykoff Lodge #595, Scottish Rite -Valley of Dayton, and Secretary of National Association of Letter Carriers for numerous years.  Clyde enjoyed traveling, having visited all 50 states, and bowling.

Along with his wife Martha, he is survived by a brother, Neil (Debbie) Neinas of Wichita Falls, TX; brothers-in-law, Marvin Long and Lawrence (Bev) Long; sisters-in-law, Doris (Mike Boedicker) Creed and Juanita Myers; a cousin, Tom Billiard; a godson, Scott Baber; special nieces and nephews, Rhawnie, Sandra, and Jordan Rogers; many nieces and nephews; and very dear friends, Paul (Marietta) Rogers, Becky Hoblit, and Marlene Mears.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, George and Clara Long; brothers-in-law, Harvey, Gerald and Albert Long.

The family will receive friends from 2- 4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the funeral home.  Chaplain Herb Wilker and Pastor Alvin King will officiate.  Burial will follow at Ash Grove Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
