Deanna Mae Hardesty

Deanna was called to Heaven on October 12, 2020. She was met by her mother Mary, father Junior, and brother Tyre, her sister Lisa was also at Heaven’s gate.

Deanna was born to Mary and Junior Gibson in Fort Knox, KY on November 19, 1959. Along the way she was accompanied by her 9 siblings: Dianna (Bob) Burns, Dena Ditto, Junior (Brenda) Gibson, Tyree (Renee) Gibson, James Gibson, Jarrod Gibson, Jeremiah Gibson, George Polly, and lastly Lisa Johnson. Deanna was blessed to give birth to 10 children: Jeremy Truman, Heather (Josh) Howard, Donald (Leah) Truman, Danielle (Freddy) Mendez, Emma (Camerino) Gonzalez, Benjamin (Rachael) Hardesty, Rebecca Sheely, Christopher Hardesty, and finally Allen Hardesty. She loved her grandchildren, all 15 of them, with her whole heart; but it was not until her 8 great-grandchildren arrived that she experienced the true meaning of love.

She grew up in Mechanicsburg, Ohio where her and her siblings would swim in the creek, pick wild fruit, and play in the corn cob bins. In her 60 years of life she managed to master the art of having fun and left everyone around her delightfully overjoyed and satisfied. She would spend a lot of her time with her one true love Mr. Kevin Sheely, and together they would go on trips to Put in Bay, Niagara Falls and many weekends in Michigan. Her laughter was contagious, and she was the life of the party. Most of her friends knew her as “Granny” and they had the utmost respect for her. She truly made a presence in this world and we will all miss her terribly.

We want to give a special thanks to the St. Rita’s Hospice nursing staff and to everyone else who helped our mother in her time of need. Your effort and compassion did not go unnoticed and we hope that you get all the blessings that you deserve in this life.
