Janet Marie Schimpf

Janet Marie Schimpf, age 76 passed away at 9:09 a.m. on September 15, 2021 at her residence.  Janet was born November 24, 1944 in Lima, Ohio to the late Paul and Romaine (Eilerman) Schimpf, Sr.

She was a 1963 graduate of Lima Central Catholic and a member of St. Gerard’s Parish.  She was a baker in the former Northland Pangles Supermarket for years and later retired from a medical laundry service for Lima’s hospitals.

Survivors include one brother, Carl E. (Betty) Schimpf and one sister, Betty Kay Schimpf Davisson; three sisters-in-law:  Joan Schimpf, Ruth Schimpf Wiechart, and Blanche Schimpf Hummel; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was proceeded in death by brothers: Paul Jr., James, William, Donald, and David Schimpf; and a sister, Mary Lou Schimpf Brennan.

Janet was an avid fan of tv sports and loved working jigsaw puzzles.

A memorial prayer service is planned for Saturday, October 16, 2021 following the 5:00 p.m. Mass at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church with Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Central Catholic Scholarship fund.
