Kimberly Selover, 66, passed away at 3:25 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Lima Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Kim was born on April 26, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Roy and Sara (Reel) Roby. On April 28, 1979 she married Brad Selover, who survives in Elida.
Kim earned a bachelor's degree in Education from The Ohio State University and had taught for about 10 years at Elida Local Schools. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Elida. She was faithful to the Bible, loved spending time with her family and she loved her Florida home.
She is survived by her sons, Blake Selover and Troy (Heather) Selover, both of Elida; three grandchildren: Roy Selover, Luke Selover, and Anna Selover; a sister, Deb (Stan) Karcher of Elida; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the funeral home. Rev. Ted Bible will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida.
Memorial contributions may be made to University of Michigan Medicine in care of Dr. Cem Akin for Systemic Mastocytosis research.
