Marilyn was born on October 20, 1930, in Canton, Ohio, to Ernest and Iva Gladys (Zeiters) Kiser. On May 28, 1950 she married Wallace William Sackinger who preceded her in death on December 18, 1987.

She worked at the TB Hospital, Lima Armature Works, and Pinkerton Security, as well as the Telephone Company in Shelby, Ohio when she was younger. She was an avid bird watcher and was a sensational gardener. She spent many years with her beloved cat Joy and enjoyed days watching the deer in the meadow behind Luther Pines. Marilyn was an all around animal lover and enjoyed walking her property and being around nature. She loved to travel with her daughter, visiting her sisters in Alabama and Mansfield. She made the best homemade bread and her family absolutely loved to enjoy it. She had more purses than any one woman would ever need and was stubborn but in the best ways and always wanted to help and never took no for an answer.
