Marjorie Ann Bryan, 93 died April 16, 2022, at The Greens Lima, OH. She was born March 12, 1929, in Lima to Edward M. and Grace E. (Davis) Meeks who preceded her in death. Marjorie retired from Westinghouse then continued to work in home health care into her 80s. Marjorie’s greatest love was her family! A close second was anyone or anything associated with the U.S. military! She was a lifelong resident of Lima, OH. and attended Cairo United Methodist Church for most of her life.

Marjorie had 7 children, 27 grandchildren, 71 plus 3 on the way great grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren.

Marjorie was a longtime member of Blue Star Mothers of America. President of the Lima Chapter OH-15 True Blue. She was awarded that organizations highest honor at both the state level in 2017 and national level in 2018. On June 23, 2012, at age 83 she made a tandem parachute jump with the Army Rangers as a fundraiser for the Blue Star Mothers of America. In 2013 Marjorie was honored as the region's Jefferson Award recipient. In 2017 she was the Shining Star for the Department of Ohio BSMA. In 2018 “Shining Star” BSMA National Level. In 2019 Emeritus Award from the Veterans Food Pantry for her many years of service. In 2012, she received “The Daughter of the American Revolution Community Service Award” from the Lima chapter for her continual service to the community. Marjorie held Offices and was very active in several organizations including, FOE Eagles Aux. Lima 370, American Legion Aux. Post 96 Lima, VFW Aux. 1275 Lima, Military Order of Cootie, Blue Star Mothers OH-12, Elks Lodge Lima, B.P.O.E. # 54, Navy Club Lima, Loyal Order of Moose Lima Lodge 199, Red Hats Lima, AARP Lima, Lunch Bunch at Westgate and Westinghouse Retirees to name a few.

Survivors include four sons Paul (Kenni) Coulter of Shelbyville IN., M. Dana (Chris) Coulter of Concord NC, John (Brenda) Plescher of Wapakoneta OH, Robert (Kim Fairborn) Plescher of Bandera Texas. Two daughters Katherine (Nathan) Honcell of Lima and Karen (Steve) High of Belle Center OH.

Marjorie was preceded in death by a son James E. Coulter. All 6 of her siblings Grace Meeks (6 days old), Robert Meeks (2 days old), Hope (Howard) White, Gloria (Roger) Joseph, Edward (Betty) Meeks II, Philip (Joyce) Meeks all of Lima. Marjorie was married four times, Charles Coulter, Raymond Plescher, William Bryan, and Francis Andrew. She was divorced twice and widowed twice.

A life celebration will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Cairo United Methodist Church 210 W. Main St Cairo, Ohio 45820. Pastor Tom Holmes Presiding. There is no burial as Marjorie gave of herself even in death donating her remains to Wright State University for medical research. Memorial can be made to the Cairo United Methodist Church or any Veteran's organization of your choice.
