Martha Ann Boogher

Martha Ann Boogher, 104, passed away at 7:50 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Lochhaven Assisted Living Apartments.

Martha was born on February 22, 1918 in Auglaize County, to Frederick and Edith (Anderson) Lawrence, who preceded her in death.  On September 5, 1936 she married Clifford Boogher who passed away on September 8, 1989.  They were married for 53 years.

Martha was retired from City Loan and Savings Company in 1979, and had also been employed at the AutoKraft Box Factory and the Leader Store.  She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Lima.  In her free time Martha enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting.

Martha is survived by her adopted family and neighbors, Jill, Joe and Christian Vogelgesang; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by brothers: George, Cloyd, Vernon, Leroy and Carl Lawrence; a sister, Alice Bowsher; and three sisters-in-law: Eunice Lawrence, Evelyn Lawrence and Helen Lawrence.

The family will receive friends from 1 - 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  A funeral service will be follow at 3 p.m..  Rev. Andrew Shields will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery, Cridersville, OH following the service.
