Michael Joseph Miller

Michael Joseph Miller,64, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Michael was born on December 7, 1956, in Lima, Ohio, to Jerry and Rebecca (Yoder) Miller.  On June 30, 2000 he married Terri Mayer who survives in Delphos, Ohio.

Michael was a Lima Senior High graduate and made his living as a truck driver.  He loved hunting and fishing, especially with his grandsons.  He enjoyed attending sporting events, motorcycles and doing poker runs.  He was very involved with the NRA. Michael’s jeep was his prized possession.  He loved being with family and friends, and never knew a stranger.

In addition to his wife and mother Rebecca Bowles, he is survived by his son, Joe (Jill) Miller of Harrod;  grandsons, Devin Miller and Derek Miller; brother, Dan (Deb) Miller of Rockford, OH; stepbrothers: Brad Miller of Lima, Jeff Miller of Colorado and Steve Bowles of Columbus, and stepsisters: Betsy Greeley of Lima and Aleta Spicer of Lima.

He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, Paul Bowles; and sisters, Laurie Kehl and Kelly Allman.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.   The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the funeral home.  Friends may visit one hour prior to the funeral service. Pastor Randy Davis will officiate.  Burial will be at Bluelick Cemetery, Lima, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NRA.
