Rose A. Minton

Rose A. Minton, 71, passed away at 10:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Rose was born on May 30, 1950, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Albert and Julian (Siebeneck) Niese.  On July 13, 1973 she married Lloyd Minton who survives in Lima.

Rose retired from Honda and was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.  She liked traveling and doing puzzles.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Anthony Minton and daughter, Chris (Michael) Money, both of Lima; grandchildren, Chasity Ruhlen and Joshua Holmes; brothers, Michael Niese of Ft. Wayne, IN and Ron Niese of Lima; sisters: Patty (Joe) Synder of Greenville, OH, Betty (Mike) Quigley of Cincinnati, OH, Barb (Carl) Hambleton and Mary Niese, both Lima; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Albert Niese, Jerry Niese, Paul Niese and Don Niese; and sisters, Marie Niese and Jane Niese.

A Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to service.   Father Kent Kaufman will officiate.  Burial of ashes will be at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association.
