Sharon Rose Caprilla, 81, passed away at 10:24 a.m. on November 15, 2022, at The Springs of Lima.

Sharon was born on May 7, 1941 in Lima, Ohio, to Anthony and Mildred (Landosko) DePalma.          

Sharon was a graduate of Lima Central Catholic and worked as a clerk at the City of Lima Water  and Tax Departments. Sharon is the last surviving of 10 DePalma brothers and sisters. She enjoyed spending time with her hundreds of nieces and nephews. Sharon also liked making her famous pepperoni rolls and cream puffs for everyone to enjoy.      

She is survived by her children, Frank A. (Misty) Caprilla, Christina M. (Chris) Thompson, and John C. (Amy) Caprilla; and grandchildren, Christopher, Benjamin, Evelyn, Angelo, Vittoria, and Vincent.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Fred DePalma, Anthony “Sonny” DePalma, James DePalma, Frances Washam, Ralph DePalma, Mary Mack, Pauline Cutlip, Phillip DePalma, and Mildred “Snow” Venturella.   

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christina Corner Community Center through St. Charles Church;
